Greetings! My name's John. I design and maintain platforms and infrastructure for software companies. In my spare time, I play music and design software. When the weather allows I like to snowboard.
I currently work at FusionAuth as a Staff SRE. We make authentication software that you can run anywhere, or we'll host for you.
I created and maintain the Kubernetes management app Luxury Yacht. It's good, and it's free. Check it out. If you use Kubernetes I think you'll like it.
Having reached what I call The Age of the Tribute Band, I play in a few of them.
- I play bass and sing in Wish We Were Floyd, a Pink Floyd tribute, and one of the original tribute acts in the Rocky Mountain region. We've been doing it since 2006, long before tribute bands became the phenomenon they are today.
- I play bass and sing in Transdermal Celebration, a Ween tribute. Hail Boognish.
- I play bass and sing in Swingtown, a Steve Miller Band tribute, because everybody loves Steve Miller!
- I play drums and sing in ColdReplay, a Coldplay tribute. We have yet to break up any marriages that I'm aware of.
- I play drums in Arriving Nowhere, a Porcupine Tree tribute. This is by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to do. If you know anything about Porcupine Tree, you know why.
